“There can be no greater gift than that of giving one’s time and energy to helping others without expecting anything in return.”

Engineering Outreach.
A World In Motion (AWIM).
For some career aspirations start at a very young age.
The AWIM Learn Twice program opens a platform for people like me that are passionate towards engineering education to inspire the next generation of leaders.
Through AWIM, I was able to mentor and instruct K-8 students by bringing STEM education to life in the classroom at two schools in Manitoba.
Girl Power.
Diversity in a rapidly changing world allows us to bring unique skill-sets to the table.
Diversity in STEM fields enables us to solve complex problems within our community in unique ways. Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba’s Girl Power Campaign is geared towards students in grade nine and above, where they can learn about the incredible things they can achieve through a career in STEM.
As a participant of this campaign, I showcased how I am solving for a sustainable future through the development of electric vehicles.
Professional Development.
Leadership. Networking. Public-speaking.
All essential skills to take an engineering student’s career to the next level, but for some it maybe challenging to find accessible and enjoyable resources to build these skills.
As the Head Director of Professional Development for the engineering student council, I planned, organized, and executed professional development events in collaboration with industry professionals, students, and faculty staff.
Community Involvement.
For three consecutive years since 2016, I have organized after school volunteering trips to non-for-profit community based organizations around the city of Winnipeg. The trips have opened up opportunities to the engineering student body to give back to their community in an accessible and enjoyable way.
Winnipeg Harvest.
Winnipeg Harvest collects and shares food to people in need and offers opportunities to help people get out of poverty.
Students were able to volunteer by organizing and sorting non-perishable food donations.
Siloam Mission.
Siloam Misson connects the community in order to alleviate hardships and provide opportunities for change for those affected by poverty and homelessness.
Students were able to volunteer by serving food during dinner time, collecting dishes, and organizing donations.
Giving Back.
It is Mo’ Time.
Movember Foundation: Tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention in men.
For three consecutive years since 2016, I have raised $2,000+ in trivia night(Harry Potter and The Office) revenue and online fundraising towards Movember Canada. In collaboration with engineering students and on campus entertainment centers, I was able to open up opportunities for students to give back to a cause that increases awareness in the physical and mental health issues men face.
Bell Let’s Talk.
Bell Let's Talk: A program designed to break the stigma around mental illness and support mental health across Canada.
Engineers ending the stigma.
In January of 2019, I was part of the organizing committee that hosted the campaign at the Price Faculty of Engineering. I made this interactive mural outlining our mascot Phil the Red Lion to encourage engineering students and staff to spread positive vibration and increase mental health awareness by posting a note of their choice using a sticky note.
